About Us



-    Establishment of the “Lebanese Youth Gathering – RJLiban” voluntary association (Loi 1901) in Paris (France) in December 1986 by a group of young Lebanese graduates. President-founder: Naji Farah

-    Collaboration with Charles De Gaulle Institute in Paris since may 2004

-    Member of the World Lebanese Cultural Union in Paris since October 2009

-    Collaboration with the Asociación de Amistad Líbano-Mexicana in Beirut since December 2009.



1- Spread and preserve Lebanon and its cultural heritage

2- Connect between the Lebanese, their descendants, and their friends in the Lebanese emigration world

3- Commit to cultural orientation actions involving the Lebanese youth to strengthen their love for their homeland.



1- Information:

a- Establishment of an information network on Lebanon all the way from France on the phone (in French and Arabic) and on Minitel 3615 RJLiban (in French) from 1987 to 1997

b- Circulation of an information bulletin and printed communiqués (in French) in France and in Lebanon from 1994 to 1997

c-  Establishment of an online cultural information network in French – since 2000 – and in English, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, German, and Arabic – since 2008 - : website www.rjliban.com

d- Publication of a biweekly page on the Lebanese throughout the world (Les libanais dans le monde) – 1st and 3rd Monday of each month – in the francophone newspaper L’Orient Le Jour since November 2007

e- Development of a multilingual online directory that aims at connecting between the Lebanese, the Lebanese emigrants, and the friends of Lebanon (easy research system by country, profession, and city of origin for people to come back to their roots). This directory was launched in December 2009 on www.rjliban.com

f- Issuance of the Friends of Lebanon Card along with the registration in the directory of the worldwide grand family of Lebanon (RJLiban membership card)


2- Culture: 

a- Activities of the RJLiban Club in Paris since 1987: debate dinners, gala nights, cultural exhibitions (Fnac Etoile January 1997), weekend outings, big concerts (Magida el-Roumi and Caracalla at the Palais des Congrès and at the Olympia between 1991 and 1996), classical music recitals (piano, guitar…), oriental music concerts, Lebanese tale nights

b- Activities in Beirut since 1992: debate dinners, welcome parties for European tourists, classical music recitals (piano, guitar…), beach-parties in Tyre, concerts (Ziad Rahbani in Tyre – summer 2009).


3- Social: establishment of a psychological cell in Paris in 1990 to help the Lebanese war victims and handicapped through concerts and parties.


4- Tourism:

a- Organization of cultural and archeological tours in Lebanon since 1992 in collaboration with Cedar Country Travel, a company specialized in associative made-to-measure tours. Visitors of 2009: Spanish pilgrims from Granada and Valladolid archdioceses in February, old French military men from Saint-Cyr school in May, officials from the Université Libre de Bruxelles in August, Asian doctors within the Congress of the Asian Society of Transplantation (CAST 2009) held in September – website www.cedre-voyage.com.  

b- Participation in the World Federation of Journalists and Travel Writers (FIJET) in shanghai in October 2009.


5- Emigration: Participation in the 50th anniversary of the World Lebanese Cultural Union in Mexico and in the Congress of the Mexican Youth of Lebanese Origin – JOMALI in Ixtapa, Mexico, in October 2009.
